We love Christmas sweets in the Czech Republic. It’s one part of the Christmas traditions for us. (I mean everything with sugar is big hell for me and that’s why I love Christmas time because sugar is everywhere around me! So creepy and so unhealthy season for me. I know, I know, I am at peace with it …. ).
One Friday night when my date got canceled I made a big decision and I started to bake Christmas sweets. Maybe it’s crazy for someone, but for me, it’s an amazing fun to bake in late hours. I remember the face of my ex when I woke him up at 3 am with the smell of fresh traditional Czech pies. His face was so confused and sleepy, but he loved it and appreciated it.
This Gingerbread recipe I’ve got from my friend Jane and honestly, I’ve never ever baked better cookies! So brilliant, super easy and super tasty! (I ate them all).
(I like their “pinky” non-Christmas style) … I’ve wanted to make them red, but ….. ? I can still say with a clear conscience that I am not an expert.
I hope that you will love them just as much as I! Send me your cookies results!
