Low fat Apple pie

Super tasty with low calories! No butter, no oil and only 116 kcal per slice! Welcome to the Apple pie heaven!

It’s a very easy cake which you can quickly make before BBQ or just for the better time over the weekend. All preparing takes more or less 10 minutes and baking time is no more than 35 minutes.

So let’s grab the golden apples and get ready for this easy, light, and tasty dessert.

You will need:

3-4 golden apples

2 eggs

zest of one lemon

2 teaspoons of baking powder

1/3 cup of coconut sugar or brown sugar

a pinch of salt

1 cup of gluten-free/ Wholemeal flour

1/4 cup of skinny fat milk

 

Are you ready? 

As first grease and flour 22 cm baking pan.

Reheat the oven on 180C°.

Take a bowl and prepare the golden apples for the cake. Peel and core apples and cut them on thin pieces.

In the bigger bowl beat the eggs and mix them with sugar, salt and lemon zest. Add the flour, baking powder and milk into the mixture.

As the last step add the few pieces of cut apples and mix them slowly with the wooden spoon.

Spill mixture into the prepared baking pan and arrange the rest of apple pieces on the top of the cake. You can sprinkle top of the cake with sugar for better and crunchy taste.

Everything is more than ready to put into the oven and bake on 180C°. Set the timer for 35 minutes.

And it’s done! You can dust the cake with icing sugar but I left the cake as simple as I bake it. I hope you are going to try this easy recipe and let me know if your masterpiece is as good as mine.
